Dream Boat directed by Tristan Ferland Milewski (Germany) 2017 documents a gay male cruise.
The ship sets out to sea each year with 3,000 men for a seven-day European journey. A luxurious week of dancing, drinking, and drag.
The passengers are overwhelmingly young and white.
Expectations of romance are high as is the rare opportunity for some to experience a freedom not possible in their daily lives.
The film focuses on a handful of them, conducting somewhat probing interviews.
It screens one night only at Berlin & Beyond at the Goethe Institute in San Francisco Thursday 15 February 2018.
